Tia Cooke
Tia W. Cooke is a creative, worshipper, lover of God, blogger, speaker, brand strategist, and cancer advocate. Her voice and work centers on spiritual, emotional, and physical healing and the journey to wholeness. Tia was born with six fingers, one additional digit on each pinky, so it’s no wonder that even her cancer story wouldn’t follow the status quo. With no family history of cancer, on January 3, 2017, she was diagnosed with Stage IIIB Cervical Cancer. Only a few short months later, on May 5, 2017, she would then be diagnosed with Stage III Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer, which became metastatic in 2019. She spent the first two years living with this disease, not fully understanding that even in this, there was much purpose. So, with a renewed energy, Tia has become an advocate not only for herself, but also for African Americans who are fighting this dreaded disease who may have less access to necessary resources and those who do not have a voice. In 2019, she introduced Brown, Bold, and Bald (BrownBoldBald.com). It was established not only to be a vehicle to chronicle Tia’s cancer story but to serve as a source of hope, faith, and encouragement as we all traverse through life’s challenges. Professionally, Tia is an award-winning graphic designer, book cover designer, celebrity editor, and clinician with proven techniques to grow the constituents of religious, non-profit, and for-profit businesses.
