Finding Strength and Hope

Hi, I started dealing with breast cancer symptoms about two years before I was officially diagnosed. At the time, I was caring for my very sick husband and trying to keep working. When a sore appeared on my breast, I told myself I wasn’t going to the doctor—I figured I would just live until God decided it was my time. Eventually my husband saw the sore and insisted I go. That was in the fall of 2021. By the summer of 2022, he had passed away.

Faith over cancer

I went through a very dark period, but I turned to God, who has always been my rock. He helped me realize that I still needed to be a light for others. I’m still undergoing treatment, and every day I pray and thank God for giving me another day.

Words of hope

Have faith in Jesus Christ, and trust your doctors and nurses. I go to Tennessee Oncology and highly recommend it. I hope my story helps someone.
