I'm Scared

Four Years Ago I had Stage Three Breast Cancer I had a Radical Mastectomy and 7 Lymphnodes removed and after I Endured 5 months of Grooling Chemotherapy and 2 months of Radiation and I was told that I was a Survivor and I had beat it. Eight months ago though I have found out that I didn't beat my Cancer and it has Metastasized to my spine, Shoulders, Shoulder Blades, Front and rear Pelvic area, My Ribs, My Femur Bone in my Right Leg, and my Skull and I have been told that it is Incurable I have tried Hormone Therapy but it makes me very ILL and I am only 48 and not ready to die and I suffer with a lot of Anxiety This is a photo I took of myself a couple days ago

  1. I appreciate you being here and sharing with us. My heart goes out to you; I'm sure this has not been easy for you. I was chatting with another member earlier tonight who is newly diagnosed, and she shared that working with a therapist has been helpful. I also know some other community members have found support by contacting the oncology social worker through their doctor's office. Have you thought of trying either of those options? I would also like to encourage you to find some local support groups, in-person or virtual, to help you create a support system and have people close to you that understand what you're experiencing.
I hope other community members will share more with you, but in the meantime, I have linked a few articles below for you. I hope they will share some insight and comfort you, knowing you are not alone. Please know we will always be here for you; please don't hesitate to reach out. If you're feeling up to it, keep us posted on how you're doing. Sending you positive vibes and gentle hugs. -Beth (Team Member)
