How do you feel about holidays?

The holidays bring on a huge range of emotions. They can bring as much excitement as they can exhaustion.

As someone living with advanced breast cancer, how do you feel about the holidays?

How does it impact you both mentally and physically?

  1. It's hard. I believe I have a very positive outlook. But the Holiday are tough. I've had MBC for 7 yrs now. It's gotten harder. My son and my daughter in law are making Thanksgiving Dinner this year.
Christmas has become a big retail scam. I have 4 grandchildren. When buying they're gifts I try to stick with "Something to Wear, something to Read, something they want and something they need". I'm not rich, I stick to $150 each, plus my adult children.
I find it mentally draining, I become depressed and sad. I just want to sleep through it all

    1. I so idetentify with that. As long as I stay busy it helps keep my mind off the other.

    2. I know many people who can relate to this, including myself. I am quick to keep my mind busy with one thing or another because I can't shut my thoughts off the second I have downtime. Do you have any go-to stuff you like to do to stay busy? I have been trying to read more, something I used to love but got away from doing in the craziness of life. Lately, I've been loving the author, Freida McFadden. Sending you strength & support every step of the way, please know we're here for you! Hugs, -Beth (Team Member)
