We will NOT be shaken.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with bilateral breast ca at the age of 40. Neg for the BRCA gene, no family HX. IN Oct 2022 my sister was diagnosed, in May of 2023 in the midst of my sisters battle my mom was diagnosed. They both lived with me. I was working FT caring for them both with everything I had in me. In May of this year my sister went to be with her Jesus and her battle was finally over. The following month I had an abnormal mammogram that led to my 2nd ca Dx and last Monday I had a double mastectomy at The James Cancer Center in Columbus Ohio and am currently awaiting pathology etc in order to determine treatment etc. I will NOT give up. Thank you for all you do in so many ways. With Love, DaphneNot gonna lose my Joy

  1. Hi Daphne (). First, let me say sorry to hear of the loss of your sister. You certainly have been through a lot and, no doubt, your attitude will help you moving forward. Thank you for the kind words and so glad you find the community helpful. Hope your recovery is going well and please feel free, if you like, to keep us posted on how you are doing. 1. Hi Daphne (), I'm sending (((hugs))), love and light, and just a note to tell you you're not alone. How are you doing today? Are you currently in treatment? - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

      1. Hi, Daphne, your attitude is going to help you in your battle. I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. I had no BRCA markers either. I am currently in remission from stage 3 Triple Positive breast cancer. You are most definitely not alone and you have people praying for you. The drains are a pain in the you-know-what but they'll help you heal. Love and light your way!
