Unusual areas for progression
The four main areas breast cancer invades are breast, bones, liver, brain and lungs. Although rare it can move to other organs and areas. Has your cancer progressed to an unusual area of the body?
I was first diagnosed with MBC with a tumor on my adrenal gland. My oncologist says that it's rare, probably not because it doesn't happen, but because it has already spread elsewhere before it's caught. Mine was found looking for a kidney stone.
