Deciding on the many options for treatment

I am diagnosed HER2 plus lobular invasive metastatic breast cancer .
I have just started treatment two months ago .
Taxol / herceptin/ perjetta.
I just finished the taxol and now awaiting pet scan .
I am assuming I will move to just HP infusions .
My Breast tumor has shrunk to very small .
I have node involvement and Mets to liver .
I am sorting out options.
With targeted treatment.
I have looked a little into proton pencil thin laser beam radiation .
Have not decided if I will go that route or not .
My doctors have told me with this stage surgery is usually not done.
I am almost 67 years old .
Quality of life is more important to me than longevity.

  1. I am so sorry you were just diagnosed and started treatment recently. I hope that the treatment plan you are on continues to work and that your body responds well to it. I can't imagine how unsettling it is to not know what route to take with treatment options, especially when they are so limited 🙁 We are thinking of you, especially right now as you get your PET scan. Please keep us updated. We are here for you and you are not alone here. 💙 Best, Amani (@AdvancedBreastCancer.net team)
