How has MBC impacted your career?

If you were still working when you were diagnosed, did you continue to do so? Did you share your diagnosis with your co-workers? How did you manage treatment and work?

Whether you decided to continue working. What factors played into your decisions?

We'd love to hear about your experiences.

  1. After 3 years of living with it and constant treatment every theee weeks I had to retire. It actually made me so sad to have to let it go. Was it stressful, yes, and I struggled to keep up mentally but I loved it. One more thing taken from me.

    2. of course friend! ❤️❤️❤️

  3. Thank you for checking on me. They are still reviewing my application I’m afraid. Hoping to have an answer by the end of the month. I understand sometimes it can take 6-9 months.

  4. How has MBC impacted your career? Cancer treatment took away my strong immune system so I stopped working altogether June 2021
If you were still working when you were diagnosed, did you continue to do so? Yes, I continued to work for 6m
Did you share your diagnosis with your co-workers? Yes. One even said, "you don't look like you have cancer.... You have all your hair" 🤦🏻‍♀️ (I offered to show them my boob so they'd believe me 😂😂😂)
How did you manage treatment and work? I got diagnosed when covid started. So it helped that everyone I was around had a mask on but mask went away so that was when I knew I'd have to stop working and "retire". I really like my treatment... Ibrance with fulvestrant ❤️
