A Positive Attitude To Get Through MBC

I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in November 2019. It spread to my lungs, chest and stomach. I went to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and they treated me with chemo and radiation and I am getting better. I have never experienced any kind of pain and I am doing fine, except my legs are a bit weak due to my weight loss and I have no side effects with chemo. What helps me is I pray a lot and keep a positive attitude.

I was diagnosed beginning of January 2021. I'm on quimo now and I also don't feel sick I even forget I'm sick. Except when night comes. I have a hard time sleeping. I think it's great you 're getting better, keep going never quit🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏

I was diagnosed in October of 2019. It seems like I have aged so much. I have an Oncologist that seems to just to pretend to listen to me. I feel lost in this “lake”. Not knowing medically who to trust. Drowning…

 <inline-mention username="LoriD" user-id="2342944"/> You are entitled to change oncologists any time you want to. I know this because I am in the middle of doing this myself. The only difference is I like mine, but for me, it's time to look for one with more experience in the type of breast cancer I have. What I have found is, your insurance will make the most significant difference in how you go about this. So I would start with them first. If you have a PPO, you likely can make an appointment with whatever doctor you want and have them review your case, and then do that as many times as you want until you find one you like. If you have an HMO, you may need your general practitioner to send a referral. But again, check with your insurance provider. I included a link from a previous story on second opinions below; however, things have changed slightly in the digital age. Most of the time, your new doctor can get your files electronically, making things much easier for you. I hope this helps. You shouldn't have to put up with that, it's your body and they should be listening to you. You have enough going on with cancer, you shouldn't be left feeling unheard at the doctors.
