A traffic light on its side shows red, yellow, and green colors

Do You Know Your Colors?

Lately, I've been thinking about people like traffic signals: red, yellow, and green. Do you know your colors? Do you know the people in your life by their actions, which equate to their colors?

Seeing people at face value

It's time to stop assigning the wrong colors to people and then get frustrated because you were "color blind" when it came to certain people in your life. Know your colors, know your people.

What does red mean?

A "red person" has a strong, passionate, and intense presence in your life. They are often described as fiery, bold, and energetic. This person may inspire, challenge, or push you out of your comfort zone.

Identifying your red person can be a powerful exercise in self-discovery and understanding. This person may be someone you admire, someone you're drawn to, or someone who frustrates you. Regardless of how you feel about them, they strongly impact your life and can teach you important lessons about yourself and the world around you.

Reflecting on lessons

Once you've identified your red person, take some time to reflect on the lessons they've taught you. How have they inspired, challenged, or pushed you out of your comfort zone? What have you learned from them, and how have you grown?

Your red person may not have been an easy influence to have in your life. But by embracing their guidance and wisdom, you've been able to grow and evolve as a person.

Your red person may not always be easy to deal with. They may frustrate you or challenge your beliefs. But if you approach them with an open mind and a willingness to learn, they can help you expand your horizons and become a stronger, more passionate person.

What does yellow mean?

A "yellow person" refers to someone who brings light, happiness, and positivity into your life. This could be a friend, family member, partner, or even a stranger whom you admire and look up to. The term "yellow" is often associated with joy, warmth, and sunshine, which is why it usually describes someone who brings those qualities into your life.

We all have people in our lives who fit this description. These people make us feel better when we're down, to whom we turn for support and guidance, and whom we trust to be there for us through thick and thin.

Practicing gratitude

Identifying your yellow person can be a powerful exercise in gratitude and appreciation. When you take the time to reflect on the people who make a positive impact on your life, you can cultivate a deeper sense of happiness and contentment.

Once you've identified your yellow person, take some time to show them how much you appreciate them. Send them a heartfelt message, take them out for coffee or lunch, or let them know you're grateful to have them in your life. By acknowledging their positive impact on you, you'll strengthen your relationship and deepen your sense of connection and happiness.

Life is too short not to know and appreciate your colors.

What does green mean?

A "green person" represents growth, renewal, and rejuvenation in your life. This person may have helped you through a difficult time or inspired you to make positive changes in your life. They may have taught you about self-care, resilience, or personal growth.

Recognizing growth

Identifying your green person can help you reflect on the areas where you've grown and evolved. They may have been a guiding force in your journey towards greater well-being or shown you a new path that you never would have considered on your own.

The green person in your life is typically a trusted and reliable individual to whom you turn for support, advice, or companionship. This person is someone who is always there for you and can be relied upon in times of need, a person whom you immediately think about when you want to share anything good or bad, knowing that they will always come from a place of love and not judgment.

Shifting your mindset

Recognizing my people by their colors has made a massive difference in my life. I'm no longer color blind, and it has made a tremendous change in my mindset and in my life.
