Advanced Breast Cancer Community Advocate Susan RahnSusan was diagnosed with MBC de Novo in August 2013. Mets were found in her spine and ribs. In addition to her treatment plan, she’s had radiation for the mets, an oophorectomy, lumpectomy/partial mastectomy to keep the cancer at bay. Thanks to her doctors, the current treatment plan and A LOT of luck, Susan has been stable for 4.5 yrs.

Susan is a respected advocate in the breast cancer community. Currently, she is the President of METUP, a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to changing the landscape of MBC. She was an Editor/Writer/Publisher and one of the co-founders of The Underbelly, an online magazine for all stages of breast cancer.

Susan’s advocacy extends to lending her support and being active with other MBC organizations and campaigns .She’s proud to be a Outreach Coordinator for The Cancer Couch Foundation, a Patient Member of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance and a graduate of the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Hear My Voice Advocacy Program.

Most recently, she participated in Novartis 2018’ #KissThis4MBC Campaign and METAvivor’s ThisIsMBC Elements Campaign. When she’s not traveling to the next conference, most days, Susan is on social media/blogging as her alter ego Stickit2stage4. And if that weren’t enough, Susan is also a storyteller in New York State for Compassion & Choices where she hopes will be the next state to have Medical Aid in Dying laws.

She lives in Rochester, NY with her husband, her son Adam and her pup Bella.
